This jacket uses 1.3mm full-grain cowhide from Winchester leather, chrome-tanned and treated with a water-repellent finish. The treatment adds a hydrophobic barrier to the leather surface, causing water to bead and shed rather than penetrate the hide. This provides functional protection in light to moderate rain but is not equivalent to a waterproof membrane—prolonged exposure or heavy rainfall will eventually saturate the leather.

Chrome tanning at 1.3mm thickness provides abrasion resistance suitable for street and touring applications while maintaining flexibility for extended riding comfort. The leather breaks in over 30–50 hours, softening at flex points without losing structural integrity. Critical seams are sealed with waterproof tape, reducing water entry at stitch lines—the primary penetration point in most leather jackets.

This jacket meets CE EN 17092:2020 Class AA certification, indicating tested performance for abrasion, tear, and seam strength. CE EN 1621:2021-1 certified SAS-TEC armor is included at shoulders and elbows. A back protector pocket is present but the insert is sold separately.
